Epilepsy SA, originally established in 1967 under the name South African National Epilepsy League (SANEL), serves as the sole national non-profit organisation in the country dedicated to providing specialised and comprehensive services to individuals with epilepsy.

Our primary focus is on improving the quality of life for people with epilepsy and those affected by it.

Epilepsy South Africa is proud to be the South African chapter of the International Bureau of Epilepsy (IBE).
The IBE improves the social condition and quality of life of people with epilepsy and those who care for them.
Epilepsy South Africa is proud to be a member of the South African Disability Alliance.
